This is the course for you if you want to develop maximum fluency in a highly concentrated study timetable.

20 General English lessons per week are combined with 16 Special Interest Group lessons focussed on specialist subjects or further language development.

Course structure and content

The Super Intensive Course lesson plan comprises 36 lessons per week: 20 language lessons and 16 Special Interest Group lessons.

The language lessons are designed to develop the key skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

The Special Interest Groups are chosen by each learner depending on their language level and personal interest.

Special Interest Groups

These are lessons you combine with an Intensive Course or a Diploma of English. As for the General English lessons, these lessons are 45 minutes-long. Their purpose is to integrate the General English lessons with additional learning opportunities.

The number of lessons will depend on the course you choose:

  • Intensive Course: 8 Special Interest Groups lessons per week
  • Super Intensive Course: 16 Special Interest Group lessons per week
  • Diploma of English (only Intensive version): 8 Special Interest Group lessons per week

The choice of subjects will depend on the student's level of English and on the location: Kings Levels 1-4, Kings levels 5+ and additional location-specific Special Interest Groups.

Kings Levels 1-4 (Beginner to Intermediate)

Lower level students take SIGs in both Fluency and Discussion, and Listening and Pronunciation. They can also follow the Art and Design SIG.
